The device does not support non-standard PoE or Type 1 power supplies; connecting an unsupported supply will cause the indicator light to turn solid red. Please note that Type 2 power supplies are only supported when operating in Gateway Mode.

Battery preservation mode is enabled by default when powered via PoE. In the event of a sudden power loss, estimated runtime is:

Note regarding Battery Preservation Mode: When running on PoE, the system holds battery voltage between 7.0 V and 7.4 V to protect the battery, preventing a full charge. Batteries inserted at over 7.5 V will automatically discharge to this safe range. Note: Operating in low temperatures can reduce battery efficiency and overall runtime

Backup Battery Charging

Supports 9V or 12V PD charging. DJI 65W Portable Charger is recommended before deployment. When fully charged, estimated runtime in Gateway Mode is approx. 2 hours.

Charging via a 5V power supply is strictly limited to when the device is in a powered-off state. Furthermore, all charging operations require an internal battery cell temperature ranging from 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F).

Physical Characteristics

Ethernet Port Surge Protection

WAN/LAN Ports: Ethernet interface supports up to 10kA (total discharge current) surge protection, meeting EN/IEC 61643-21 Category C.

The RJ45 port features a 1.5kA (8/20μs waveform) surge protection capacity, compliant with EN/IEC 61643-21 Category C standards. However, this protection is only as effective as your system's grounding. To properly mitigate surge risks, ensure reliable and adequate grounding is established during installation.

The maximum operating limit of 55°C (131°F) accounts for solar radiation exposure. At the minimum threshold of -40°C (-40°F), a windless environment is strictly required; auto-restart functionality is disabled under windy conditions at this temperature. Furthermore, cold-weather heating startup necessitates an IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 (PoE++) or higher power source. Following exposure to extreme temperatures, the internal backup battery must return to a range of 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F) prior to charging.

PoE Auto Wake-Up When connected to a Type 2 or higher PoE power supply, the device supports automatic wake-up on cable insertion or power restoration.
Cold-Weather Heating Startup

In environments from -40° to -20° C (-40° to -4° F), the device can start up via cold-weather heating mode when powered by a PoE supply of 60 W or above.

To power this device, you must connect it to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) supply that is rated IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 (PoE++) or better.

To maintain the device's IP67 water and dust resistance, please ensure the following:
Use only an outdoor-rated, waterproof Cat 6 or higher cable (5.5 mm to 6.5 mm outer diameter) paired with the included corrugated tubing connector. Additionally, confirm that all rubber port covers and the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 heat sink are securely in place, and firmly tighten the screws on any unused WAN/LAN ports.

Note: The IP67 rating is based on controlled testing and may naturally decrease over time due to normal wear and tear.
