A Livox Lidar module, a high-precision IMU and a camera with 1-inch CMOS on a 3-axis stabilised gimbal are built into the Zenmuse L1 by DJI. The L1 forms a complete solution when used with Matrice 300 RTK and DJI Terra, which provides you with real-time 3D data regardless of time of day, capturing the specifics of complex structures efficiently and providing highly accurate reconstructed models.
The Zenmuse L1 integrates the Livox Mid70 LiDAR Sensor, a visual assistant camera with a high precision IMU along with a 20 megapixel 1-inch CMOS camera with mechanical shutter on a 3-Axis gimbal. When used with the DJI Matrice 300 RTK and DJI Terra, the L1 provides an incredibly efficient all in one LiDAR solution in the air.
Generate real-time 3D Point clouds with extremely high accuracy and detail for accurate reconstruction using the Zenmuse L1 with the DJI M300 RTK.
Powered by the Livox Mid70 frame lidar, the L1 is capable of up to 100% effective point cloud results and boasts of a detection range of 450m (at 80% reflectivity and 0 klx) or 190m (at 10% reflectivity and 100 klx).
The Mid70 sensor has an effective point rate of 240,000 pts/s and supports 3 returns and in operations with more than 1 return, the point rate is 480,000 pts/s. This enables the user to measure Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Digital Surface Models (DSM) as well as vegetation height.
The Zenmuse L1 has a RGB visual camera powered by a 20 megapixel 1-inch CMOS sensor with a Mechanical and Global shutter and adjustable aperture similar to the Phantom 4 RTK. The Zenmuse L1 with the Matrice 300 RTK uses this visual camera to provide real-time colour rendering data for the LiDAR module. This imparts true colour to point clouds and reality models.
The RGB camera also provides basic functions of taking photos and recording videos as well.
The auxiliary vision sensor can continuously provide orientation data and vision based positioning to maintain altitude data in case of GNSS failure in flight due to surrounding conditions.
The onboard IMU has a very high accuracy of 0.025° along the roll and pitch axes and 0.08° on the yaw axis.
The onboard IMU and the visual assistant and the GNSS system of the M300 RTK together with advanced sensor fusion algorithms make centimeter level accuracy in rendered data.
Thanks to the Livox frame Lidar module with a 70 ° FOV and a visible light camera with a 1-inch sensor, the Zenmuse L1 can produce true-color point cloud models in real-time.
The Zenmuse L1 and Matrice 300 RTK together can acquire 2 sq.km of point cloud data in a single flight at 100m altitude in just over 30 minutes while maintaining a side overlap of 20% and a point cloud density of more than 200 points/sq.m
Real-time point clouds provide instant on-site insights, so operators are easily notified to make strategic choices.
The user can also verify the quality of fieldwork by testing the point cloud details immediately after each flight.
The model generated can be easily rotated, zoomed in or out or scrolled on the DJI Smart Controller Enterprise screen in the DJI Pilot app.
Conveniently switch between live view from the RGB camera and the real time point cloud display or even set split screen display for both viewers.
Acquire and interact critical parameters using measurements and annotations on the point cloud model.
In addition to performing POS data calculations, DJI Terra fuses IMU and GNSS data for point cloud and visible light calculations, so that you can produce reconstructed models and accuracy reports easily.
