Rumors are swirling that DJI is on the verge of redefining the entry-level drone market with a mysterious new lineup: the DJI Lito series. Thanks to recent filings unearthed at the FCC and leaks from prominent insider Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News), we now have concrete evidence that the DJI Lito 1 and DJI Lito X1 are not just concepts, but imminent releases likely to land between February and April 2026.

The most promising confirmation comes directly from US regulators. The FCC recently certified two new DJI devices under IDs SS3-DGN12 (Lito 1) and SS3-DGP14 (Lito X1). While certifications usually keep specs hidden, the "Lito" branding has been corroborated by leaked images shared by @Quadro_News, showing a design that hints at a modular evolution of the Mini series.
Current leaks paint a picture of a two-tier launch. The Lito 1 appears positioned as the spiritual successor to the Mini 4K, offering a budget-friendly entry point with a generous 22GB of internal storage. It's estimated to have a starting price of about $330 USD.
The Lito X1, however, is the wildcard. With 42GB of storage and rumored "Pro" features like LiDAR-assisted 360° obstacle avoidance, it blurs the line between entry-level and professional. The theory is that it would be priced for $429 more at $759 USD. It sounds like DJI may be planning to replace the Mini 5 Pro entirely, unless the X1 is simply intended to be a "Mini 4K Pro."

Both models appear to have intelligent flight batteries designed to keep the aircrafts under the critical 250g weight limit while providing approximately 30 minutes of flight time. For those prioritizing endurance, a Intelligent Flight Battery Plus could extend that flight time to roughly 50 minutes, though this will likely push the total takeoff weight beyond 250g.
Here is where the speculation really gets exciting. Deep dives into the FCC documentation suggest the Lito series may debut DJI’s next-gen O5 transmission system. Unlike the O4 system found in the Mini 4 Pro, O5 is rumored to utilize SDR (Software Defined Radio) with potential 5G cellular integration. If true, this would be a massive leap forward. By leveraging cellular networks, the Lito X1 could theoretically offer unlimited range (BVLOS), eliminating the connection drops that plague current Wi-Fi-based drones. For content creators, this means flying behind obstacles or over longer distances without fear of losing the video feed.
With FCC confidentiality clauses set to expire in late May 2026, a Q1 launch is highly probable. If the leaked pricing of about $330 for the Lito 1 and roughly $759 for the X1 holds true, DJI is aggressively targeting both beginners and enthusiasts.
