The long awaited successor to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 appears to be getting closer to release. DJI has not confirmed the Osmo Pocket 4 yet, but a new FCC filing has revealed enough information to suggest that an official announcement may be coming shortly. The filing, along with several recent leaks, has given enthusiasts a clearer picture of what to expect from DJI’s next compact vlogging camera.

The appearance of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 in FCC documentation is one of the strongest indications that the camera is nearly ready for the market. Any product intended for sale in the United States must receive FCC approval, and DJI has now reached this stage. While the filing does not reveal much in the way of detailed specifications, it confirms that the new model will carry over Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth Low Energy support from the previous generation.
The most significant detail in the filing is the confirmation of a larger battery. The Osmo Pocket 4 is listed with a 1,545 mAh battery, up from the 1,300 mAh capacity of the Osmo Pocket 3. Typical capacity could be even higher once finalized. How much this affects real world operating time remains unknown until reviewers test the device, since power efficiency and any added features will play a major role.
Leaked images shared earlier in the year suggest that DJI may be preparing a fresh redesign for the Osmo Pocket 4. Some of these visuals appear to show a second display, which would make the camera more convenient for self filming and vlogging. A front facing screen would be a major upgrade for creators who rely on accurate framing while shooting themselves.
There is also speculation that the Osmo Pocket 4 could feature a second camera module. If the rumours are accurate, this could introduce new focal length options and provide more flexibility for both photo and video capture. These potential changes would represent a meaningful step forward for DJI’s compact and highly portable gimbal-based camera line.

With FCC certification complete and leaks continuing to surface, it appears very likely that DJI will reveal the Osmo Pocket 4 before the end of the year. DJI is also expected to announce several other products in the same period, including the Avata 360 drone which also appeared in recent FCC listings.
Until DJI confirms the Osmo Pocket 4, all details remain speculative. However, the growing amount of regulatory activity and the steady stream of leaks make it clear that the launch window is approaching. Content creators and fans of DJI’s compact vlogging line should keep watch for an official announcement soon.
