The full-frame X9 gimbal camera can record in RAW at 8K/75fps and has 14+ stops of dynamic range, dual native ISO, built-in 9-stop ND filters, and interchangeable lens mounts, allowing you to create cinematic imagery.

Even whether filming a nighttime cityscape or beach, or a scene lit by dim candlelight, the Zenmuse X9 supports dual native ISO (X9-8K: 800/4000; X9-6K: 800/5000), which records photos with amazing detail and minimum noise.

Dynamic Range

Zenmuse X9 produces realistic transitions of highlights and shadows in complicated lighting circumstances such as backlit scenes and direct sunlight, thanks to its 14+ stop dynamic range. These previously difficult scenes can now be readily and confidently captured.

Colour Science

Zenmuse X9 can give images a cinematic aesthetic by keeping true and accurate colors thanks to the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and CineCore 3.0's powerful CPU capability. It also uses the industry-standard ACES workflow for seamless interoperability with other cinema cameras' color tones.

The DJI Ronin 4D combines cinematic imaging, a 4-axis gimbal, LiDAR focusing, and wireless video transmission and control, allowing you to get started shooting quickly.

The Zenmuse X9, DJI's flagship full-frame camera, is integrated to the Ronin 4D. CineCore 3.0, DJI's newest image processing system, is also included.

This system uses DJI's proprietary chip to provide advanced processor architecture in a compact cinema camera, resulting in extremely high-performance computing power.

Ronin 4D now supports internal recording of Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ, and H.264 video thanks to CineCore 3.0. It also supports video recording at up to 8K/75fps and 4K/120fps, giving you a variety of options for professional-level production.

LiDAR Focusing

Manual focusing is now easier than ever with the DJI Ronin 4D. The visualized focus assistance technology shows the ranging points in a simplified top-down view on the main and remote monitors.

Within a 10-meter detection range, the LiDAR Range Finder can cast up to 43,200 ranging points. When compared to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), the LiDAR Focusing System on the Ronin 4D can focus faster without sacrificing image quality or relying on the subject's surface texture. When compared to other cinema cameras, this is especially useful in low-light situations and results in exceptional focusing capabilities.

Automated Manual Focus

Automated Manual Focus (AMF) mode [9] gives you the accuracy and flexibility of manual focus with the convenience of autofocus. The focus wheel will rotate in sync as the focus point changes, but cinematographers can take manual control at any point. The focus wheel on the right hand grip even features dynamic damping with electromagnetic technology. This gives cinematographers a physical sense of focus changes, providing a more intuitive and modern focusing experience that is unrivaled in the industry today.

The DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-axis to the traditional 3-axis gimbal, effectively reducing vertical camera shake and providing stabilization comparable to a dolly. A downward ToF sensor, forward and downward dual-visual sensors, a built-in IMU and barometer, and an advanced new algorithm work together to bring overall stabilization to a whole new level. Complex camera movements that were previously impossible to achieve are now possible thanks to this compact body's powerful stabilization capabilities.

Lens and Mounts

The X9 is compatible with a variety of lens mounts, including DJI's own DL mount as well as third-party mounts like the Leica M. The X9 is compatible with ultra-wide, f/0.95 large-aperture, electronic zoom, macro, and anamorphic lenses that are compatible with traditional cinema cameras increasing versatility.

Three compact full-frame prime lenses are supported by the X9's standard DL mount. Each lens weighs only 180 g thanks to the housings' lightweight, monocoque carbon fiber construction. In the future, more DJI lenses will be available.

Built-In 9-Stop ND FIlters

Thanks to an internal motorized system, the X9 boasts 9-stop built-in high-quality ND filters (ND 2 to ND 512, or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7) that can be swapped fast and effortlessly. These filters were also created to complement and match Ronin 4D's color science.

ActiveTrack Pro

ActiveTrack Pro combines DJI's patented computer vision, deep learning technology, and CineCore 3.0's strong computational capability to provide cinema-standard tracking shots in just one take. This technology also enables for tracking of subjects from a greater distance, as well as composition adjustments and continuous autofocusing to keep subjects in focus during tracking photos.

Wireless Control and Video Transmission

The Ronin 4D is equipped with DJI's brand-new O3 Pro Video Transmission technology, which provides a 20,000-foot transmission range that would be impossible to achieve with existing methods. It supports the DFS frequency band, as well as an AES 256-bit encryption technique, and can concurrently broadcast a 1080p/60fps FHD feed to many remote monitors with greatly improved security, stability, and anti-interference capability. Dedicated modules mounted to the X9 can enable wireless lens control and even autofocusing, whether you're using manual or autofocus lenses. It also has wireless gimbal control and a variety of mounting options for a variety of shooting situations.

Integrated Design

The 4D Video Transmitter may be installed directly on Ronin 4D and is powered by the main body's battery. The High-Bright Remote Monitor includes a 7-inch, 1,500-nit high-bright, broad color gamut touchscreen display with a built-in wireless video receiver that can output both HDMI and SDI signals through the extension module. Its small and light body allows for easy travel and quick setup, allowing users to begin shooting right away.

Coordinated Shooting

For video and audio feeds, the High-Bright Remote Monitor supports one transmitter with numerous receivers. There are two transmission modes available. The first is Broadcast mode, which has no limit on the number of receivers and is ideal for large personnel monitoring. The second option is Control mode, which allows two receivers to work together.

The Ronin 4D Hand Grips, DJI Master Wheels, DJI Force Pro, and the new DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus may all be connected to the High-Bright Remote Monitor. This enables high-precision remote control of focus and gimbal movements, as well as recording start and stop and camera setting modifications, to satisfy the highest standards of coordinated set filming. In addition, the monitor's built-in gyro sensor transforms it into a remote motion controller for Ronin 4D's gimbal.
