For those seeking an aerial system able to keep up with any difficult enterprise task, DJI introduced the Matrice 200 series, the ultimate platform for enterprise and commercial use in sectors from public safety, to infrastructure and construction. The M200 Series quickly became the go-to aerial platform for operators around the world who needed a durable, advanced platform capable of accomplishing any aerial task in even the most extreme conditions. With the success of the Matrice 200 series, DJI has now introduced an upgraded version of the series named the DJI Matrice 200 Series V2.
The Matrice 200 Series V2 is the ideal platform for optimizing aerial productivity, combining rugged design, streamlined configurability, and new sophisticated data security features to keep critical mission information safe and protected. The second-generation Matrice 200 V2 features the same rugged all-weather design, easy setup and camera configuration options as its predecessor. Enhancements to the newly improved V2 system include upgrades to flight performance, safety, data security, and intelligent system controls. For any enterprise sector, the Matrice 200 Series V2 provides a highly versatile aerial platform for organizations seekings to transform their operations with UAV technology.
When performing any professional aerial job, users need a tool that is reliable and durable enough to accomplish the task at hand. The Matrice 200 Series V2 features a fold-down design that makes it easy to store and transport. Even if fully folded down, the drone is quick and easy to set up and launch in the air. The aircraft also features high-performance motors and durable 17-inch propellers. With the new V2 series, the drones additionally feature new anti-collision beacons on the top and bottom of the aircraft shell. The arms also feature arm lights with optical lenses for added safety and visibility in the air for low-light and nighttime operations.
The Matrice 200 Series V2 comes in three different versions: the Matrice 200 V2, the Matrice 210 V2, and the Matrice 210 RTK V2. The Matrice 200 V2 can be equipped with one single downward facing camera. The Matrice 210 can be equipped with three different payload options including one downward facing camera, two downward facing cameras, or one upward facing camera. The Matrice 210 RTK V2 can be equipped with the same camera configurations as the M210V2 in addition to its advanced RTK system.
With new enhanced security features, the Matrice 200 Series V2 is safer and more secure than ever. All data is transmitted through OcuSync 2.0 and is encrypted using the leading AES-256 standard, ensuring any information collected is protected and can only be accessed by authorized parties. For discreet night operations, all of the lights on the aircraft can also be turned off using the DJI Pilot App.
The new TimeSync system works to continuously align the cameras, GPS module, RTK module, and flight controller, in addition to any third-party payloads or other onboard accessories, to fix the position data to the center of the image frame for the most accurate data possible.
The Matrice 200 Series V2 is able to handle extreme weather environments to accomplish any job no matter how extreme the conditions. The series features IP43 protection from dust and rain up to 10mm. The gimbal controllers have also been integrated into the body of the aircraft for even more added protection and prevention of drift.
The Matrice 200 Series V2 is designed specifically for high performance, demanding aerial tasks. DJI ensured that the systems battery system could endure even the most extreme environmental conditions. The series features a dual-battery system that extends the aircraft's flight time as well as automatically heats the batteries when flying in cold temperatures. The dual-battery system also provides users with added safety in the air. If one battery fails the drone can continue to fly and safely land and the confined battery system design ensures that the batteries are also weather and water resistant.
The intelligent self-heating battery system gives the M200 Series V2 up to 38 minutes of flight time and an operating temperature range of -20 to 50°C. With no payload, the M200 V2 has a flight time of 38 minutes, the M210 V2 34 minutes, and the M210 RTK V2 with 33 minutes. With a full payload, the series as a whole has a flight time of up to 24 minutes.
With an upgraded OcuSync 2.0 system, the newly improved series now supports automatic dual frequency band switching between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. This ensures that users get the strongest, most interference-resistant signal possible. The Version 2 series also has slightly longer range than its predecessor with a maximum range of up to 8 km, delivering high-resolution, low-latency and reliable digital video transmission back to the operator.
Drone operators who are using multiple drone payloads during their work can now calibrate the aircraft's center of gravity easier and more conveniently than ever straight from the DJI Pilot app for improved flight performance and safety.
The Matrice 200 V2 Series features an enhanced intelligent FlightAutonomy system that comes equipped with front, top, and bottom sensors that actively work to detect and avoid obstacles while enabling precision hovering so that pilots can fly with peace of mind. The aircraft also features DJI's AirSense system with a built in ADS-B receiver. The AirSense technology works to enhance safety in the air by providing operators with real-time information on any nearby aircraft. Finally, for night operations the drone comes with new top and bottom anti-collision beacons so that users can safely fly in low-light or night conditions.
The Matrice 200 Series V2 is made to be customized to fit the needs of the task at hand. The series is compatible with all of DJI's most advanced aerial imaging cameras including the Zenmuse XT2, Zenmuse X5S, Zenmuse Z30, Zenmuse X7, Zenmuse XT, and other third-party payloads.
Operators can use either the DJI Pilot or DJI Go 4 app to control the M200 V2 series. The DJI Pilot app was designed to optimize the flight experience and performance of the drone for commercial use. Through the Pilot App, users can control the drones dual gimbal setup or create flight plans. The app additionally allows operators to control the feed of 3 different payloads such as the FPV camera and two other cameras.
DJI also offers DJI FlightHub, a web-based software package that enables groups of operators all around the world to share their real-time data with other parties. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for managing commercial drone operations. The software can plan flights for multiple drones and record each aircrafts status. Users can even plan flights in advance, view live feeds, and remotely control the drone's camera and gimbal via an offsite control center.
From demanding missions that save lives to inspecting and mapping large operations around the world, with the Matrice 200 Series V2 operators can conduct missions and collect aerial data more effectively and efficiently than ever before. The Matrice 200 Series V2 is an enhanced aerial platform that is perfect for any demanding task, and is able to perform in more extreme weather conditions to ultimately provide users with a powerful, reliable and safe aerial system that will get any difficult Enterprise or Government job done.
